It was like any other Wednesday and I was at work sitting in for Ming cause he had an event to attend to. Got off work at 8pm as usual and flagged a cab down to Chinatown for Lomography. Man I should really stop getting a cab from my workplace! CBD surcharge sucks.

It was already 8:30 and I had to meet Yuyul at 9pm at Clementi!! I finally got to Lomography but they were closing :( Super grateful for the Lomography store in Singapore. I emailed Lomography months ago and I've been meaning to ship my ring flash to HK for an exchange but I haven't got around to it.

Now that there's an official store in Singapore, I don't have to ship it there anymore!! Save $ hehe. Anyway I got a brand new ring flash as a replacement. Can't wait to shoot with it again!

I managed to get my ass down to Clementi in time!! :) Walked around Clementi Mall and ended up in Swensens for a light dinner. I was somehow still full from my brunch so we didn't order much.

It's almost December. I love December, it's such a festive month! Christmas is almost here. I am super stoked! Not that I celebrate Christmas, I just love how the holiday itself brings so much joy to people. The Christmas sale, an entire town lit up with festive lights and we get to see different kinds of xmas trees everywhere(!!)

I love Christmas decorations!!! Setting up the tree and decorating it with a million ornaments. Everyone had to gather at the store to help out with the decorations. Boss bought us all pizzas and beers for the night. Our friends at Sup came over to help us out too :D

Hi hi! Lovely date today, 11.11.11 on a Friday : ) Intended to have breakfast with Robyn before work today but both of us sort of overslept! I don't know what happened man. I heard the alarm went off and I was awake for a moment then I fell asleep again :(

So this morning was quite a rush and I even forgot my wallet so I had to run back home to get it!! I hate it when that happens! Robyn was late so I bought breakfast for us since I was already out. I reached the counter at McDonald's 2 minutes before breakfast time was over. Hehe what a great morning achievement!!

I refused to cab because the last time I cabbed to have breakfast, my cab fare actually cost more than my breakfast :( I was lucky that the train wasn't crowded though. I told her to pick me up at City Hall but she was super late, stuck in traffic -.- So I walked over to work all by myself.

Oh anyway!!! I found these pictures on the Mac, so I thought I'd share.

The address of my workplace is actually Armenian Street, but the building goes around, so we're actually located off Loke Yew Street. These are some photos shared by a customer. This is how our building looks like before the refurbishment. It looks ancient man but these were not too long ago, probably a few years back.

Man I can't believe this was how it looked like. Somehow I wish I knew this place before I even started working here. It's been almost 4 months now. This street really feels like home to me : )

Ming and I are working on a new layout for the store. A revamp is in progress!!! Hee. We're probably gonna do it this Sunday. I've done a lot of visual merchandising work at my previous workplace. It's gonna be fun and exciting!!! Can't wait for Christmas too. We'll get to decorate the store :D

Robyn have been asking if I wanted to do video blogging for our page! I've yet to tell her my decision cause I don't wanna make empty promises I can't fulfill. Most probably I'll have to do it anyway. But she said I don't have to generate the content. I told her I'll do it if I don't have to show my face. Heh heh. We'll see I guess.

Today was really nice. I was up as early as 7am, not for school but for breakfast with Carolyn. We've been working together for 3 months now and we realize that we never really got the chance to go out together. That's cause we're always at work together. So breakfast it is! I was still late though, so I decided to cab over.

I love the start of my Wednesday. It was a really good morning because of the great weather and the smooth traffic. I had my Fisheye loaded with an Ektachrome 160T and a Harinezumi to shoot with for the day :D

We initially wanted to have breakfast at Strictly Pancakes because Carolyn have never been there and I'd love to bring her there! But unfortunately they open only at 1130am and Carolyn starts work at noon : ( So we had to give it a pass. Probably another time. So we headed to Food for Thought instead.

It tastes as good as it looks! The portion was huge (!!!) and unfortunately the plate was a bit too full for our stomach and we couldn't finish our breakfast. 10 bucks for a huge portion of breakfast is pretty decent knowing that my cab fare cost more than my breakfast : (

Carolyn and me tried the wait-to-get-hungry-then-we're-gonna-chomp-again method but it didn't work hahaha.

We still had over an hour of free time before Carolyn had to go to work so we went to SAM, Singapore Arts Museum. Carolyn have never been there so we had a chance to go around shooting. They had a new exhibition up! The last time I went there was barely a month ago.

Errands means getting my necessities but halfway I got distracted at Forever21@313 and H&M. Oops

So happy I finally got my Mylo Xyloto!!! Got it at HMV@313. It took me awhile deciding which cover to get, only to realize it's actually the same when it's flipped over -.-

It's ridiculous how Coldplay's albums are shelved right at the bottom while I could easily spot Bieber's album before I even stepped in the store. Where is the justice to good music!?!! I'm hurt!!!

Celebrated Ai & Dee's birthdays together unlike last year where we had separate celebrations for them. This is the 2nd year that we're celebrating Dee's birthday which means I've known her for a year!!! Yay!!

I was late because I was rushing all over the place. Class ended at 430pm and I had to rush to PS to pick up the brownie cake that I ordered, and get the card done. When I was at PS, Ai & Dee were at PS too!!! I had to run my errands anyway so I just prayed that I didn't bump into them and I refused to take the escalator and go for the lift to get to different levels instead... hahaha. Waiting for the lift is damn annoying.

I went back to 15 Minutes to drop off the cake to Lydia and went to Peace Ctr to get the printing done. While I was at the printing store, Ali texted me and asked if the dinner is still on. HUH. Of course it's still on. Then he went ranting something about Ai telling him that Dee couldn't make it blah blah blah blah blah. And I was like, "BUT DEE IS ALREADY THERE" WTF MAN!

He was so damn rude, he shouted at me over the phone and I was so pissed off I hung up on him. That was so damn fucked up and I was so mad at him!!! No one's helping me with anything and I feel so damn sad I got trashed for no reason. Whatever man. So when I finally make it back to 15 Minutes, Ai & Dee were the only ones seated at the huge table. They kept telling me how awkward it was hahaha

But I know at the same time they were scared because they thought that I was up to no good because everyone were late. The problem is that everyone else were REALLY LATE for REAL.

That was pretty fucked up and I felt so damn bad about it but it can't be helped! Oh well. Dee is not allowed to whine because she's ALWAYS late when it's not her birthday haha. True story.

I was stuck with this noisy couple for at least an entire hour before the rest came! Ha. And the rest only came when it was close to 9pm. Bah. I eventually found out that AI was the cause of the stupid argument that I had with Ali. Ali kept apologizing to me the whole time after that. Pfft

Yes, they're rubbish! It's true!

The puppy ears were actually meant for Ai because some of his friends call him ANJ. Which means dog for short. Hahaha. But he refused to wear it so he was wearing the kitty ears the whole time which was supposedly meant for Dee! Idiot.

Jacey's Last Day!

This was so damn fun!! It was Jacey's last day at work before he surrenders himself to serve the nation so my boss decided that we go for dinner and party after work for him. Heh. My boss always like to plan random outings for us and as usual I'd only know about it like a few hours before I knock off from work!

Robyn drove us to Somerset@313 to shop for clothes hahaha! I bought a dress and Jacey bought a shirt. I realize that I tend to shop for new clothes every time we have a company dinner man. That's like 2 new dresses every month! Then we went to meet my boss at Marche@313 and she treated us dinner before we headed for Butter Factory! It was a mad fun night and I had work the next morning!

I've been sick with flu for about 4 days now :( I haven't been sick for a long time. Falling sick never fails to remind me of how unappreciative I've always been to be healthy. I miss being healthy! I miss sleeping well without the help of medication. I'm in the midst of another busy week and it's tough for me to get things done being sick. I hope I'll be okay soon! I want to do so many things before school + fasting month starts!

The only thing that I actually feel like doing right now is sighing... If I didn't bother to click then I wouldn't have known about it. As much as I love abusing the convenience of the internet, it have provided me with too much information which somehow led me to another disappointment and it's not doing me any good. As the saying goes, some things are better left unknown. It's true.

I am scared of my future, and I feel like I've been saying this a lot lately. Every morning I wake up with the same thoughts in my mind: there's got to be more to life than this. I don't want to live my life knowing that the grass is greener on the other side and not do anything about it. I don't want to do what I'm doing right now, forever. I know I am capable of so much more. I want to do more.

So after spending half of my lifetime thinking about it, I am actually doing something about it. Actions speak louder than words and I am acting on it. I'm working on something and this is a huge step for me but I don't feel like revealing it to the world, not even to my closest friends just yet until I've known the outcome.

One minute I feel nervous, then I get all excited during the other and sometimes I feel it all at the same time. I just want to get through this and get it over and done with. I need all the luck I can get. Amin.

Lomography theme cupcakes!
I had the cupcakes ordered before I left for Krabi and collected it on the day itself. First heard of the cupcake owner a few years ago and I've always been a fan of Kak Trish's works ever since. Which makes this the 3rd time that I've ordered from her. She's blessed with magical hands! I love the lomo cupcakes so much that I gave it away with a heavy heart... Haha.

We had dinner at Swensens after that and Idham joined us. It have always been great to spend time with them. Idham taught Ai this stupid song which they made up and Ai kept singing and singing. He annoyed me over the phone to no end with the damn song sometime ago and I had to hang up on him to make him stop!

Now I can't get it out of my head! At the end of the night, I also found out that Idham is actually my stalker who have been stalking me over the last month. Note to self: Always keep numbers of my idiotic friends. The worst part of it all is that the rest of the guys were a part of this! Why God, why!?!

Hello!!! It's been almost a week since I've been back from my short getaway in Krabi. I miss Thailand already! 4 days well-spent with my 2 girls, Yuyul and Massy. I love the resort that we stayed in, and we met wonderful people along the way! It was such a good trip and I can't wait to blog all about it.

Going on a holiday makes me realize that I am actually capable of saving my money, but that also resulted me being a broke ass until payday! But then again, I always end up being broke every month anyway after all my impulsive little spending here and there which concludes to an amount of unnecessary shopping.

I can't wait to see how my photos will turn out! $45 (which I don't have right now) to send my films for digital scanning. So I won't be blogging about my trip until then... Hehe.

Made an impromptu decision to crash Drey's birthday party. His 24th. Invited, but contemplated... I was definitely under-dressed. But I wouldn't wanna miss a friend's birthday! I was already out to meet a friend earlier, so I went ahead anyway with my white t-shirt and jeans.

Party was held at Studio M

The party scored an almost full attendance from everyone which makes it almost right. Soon we left for Clarke Quay. Knowing that my friends have the intentions of bringing the party elsewhere, I tried to get away but I knew my friends wouldn't let me!

Somehow we ended up at ChinaOne... The place where we used to party often last year. We celebrated birthdays there. Pre-party at Players before ChinaOne almost every other week. It was an eventful night!

Birthday boy had a lot to drink and after years of knowing him, everyone saw him threw up A LOT for the first time... Ever. He never gets it that bad. It was a really irky sight! I am not a big fan of vomit. But I knew everyone else had their fun and all in all a pretty great party. :)

I was invited to Favian's surprise birthday party (Ali's nephew) :) I had to cancel my other plan, wouldn't want to miss Favian's birthday!!! I had work in the morning until 3pm and met Ali after that. He made me rush to meet him earlier only to make me wait for an hour! Angry... Cranky.

We met with Fana after that and we headed to Pan Pacific where the party was held. While we were at the hotel lobby, I got a call from Dila telling me to come down to Studio M Hotel for Yuyul's birthday. Alfie had the room booked only that afternoon(!!!) So I told her I'll try to be there before midnight.

Embracing my 21st birthday with change! I've been with the same hairstyle for years!!! Since I was 14 actually. I don't know what triggered the change, but it certainly took a lot of courage to stick with the decision for a change... I almost had a change of heart at the last hour.

I asked around, and I was given fair feedback on both options. A few said they can't even imagine me with curls! I had to make the decision on my own eventually. So I decided to go for the change and I'm glad I did! I love it! And everyone else too! It looks like I'm gonna stick with curls for a very long time.

I always get my hair done with Kelly. She's been doing my hair since I was 18! I booked my appt with her only the night before and I was up early in the morning, just to get my hair done. I am not a morning person...:( I spent 5 hours butt-heating my ass in the saloon!!! Why do I put myself through this every year?

Kelly trimmed half an inch off my length. Even that was hard to let go. I haven't had a haircut for 2 years!!! My hair grows so slowly :( If only there's a God-like invention that could make change in a minute. Wishful thinking... But the end result was completely worth it! I feel new all over again. I'm in ♥ with my new hair :D

Sleeping at 6 and waking up at 3 in the afternoon is beginning to feel like a routine. I'm a bummer! Well, almost. I still have a part-time job while seeking for something permanent.

The thought of it makes me cringe!!! I'm not ready for adulthood, not for the working world or will I ever be. I've been trying to bury myself with positivity. (Think: Shopping!!!) It can't be entirely bad. It will work out somehow. I will make it work, I have to.

I've been working on my site for the past 2 days. How do you guys like the new look? I've added a Twitpic photostream (I didn't know they had a widget for it, it's new!), easy access to older posts at the bottom of the page and a search tool for you to search on anything that I might have possibly wrote in the past!

I've always wanted to publish bigger, finer quality pictures but I guess that will only happen when I get a proper camera. I will, by this year I promise! My blog deserves better pictures than this.

Things are starting to pick up again after a recovery month. Life resumes as per usual. I know I'll get over it eventually. But is it too soon to get back in the game? I don't know... Life is a mystery. If good things come to those who wait, then I must have something ridiculously amazing coming!!! I'll be back before you know it!

Woke up one morning and decided to have a getaway which I'm in need of desperately. Probably one of the most spontaneous decisions I have ever made in my life and the best part - I'm going with 2 of my girlfriends Yuyul and Massy! Yes, just the 3 of us and no one else! Stoked!

I told my parents about it, mom gave me the $ for my flight ticket, met the girls a few days later and yes, the tickets are booked! 31 more days! Definitely loving my life at its best! xx

Sleepover at Sarah's on a Saturday. It was one of the odd Saturdays when I don't actually have to go to work. Met her at Clementi Mall after she was done with work, and we went grocery shopping at FairPrice Finest! Sarah told me that we could do self-checkout at the cashier. How cool!

Not that I'm new to it. I do cashiering almost every working day of my life! Haha... But being able to do it as a customer is a new feeling of excitement altogether. Especially when you can go beep beep with your girlfriend, not having to worry about voids and shortages.

Age verification for beer? Haha...

Back to her place after that. New bed! I love it.

We played Guitar Hero in the wee hours of the morning, together with her mom and her brother Irfan. Hahaha... I was pressurized ok! My first time, actually.

She said this to me, "For a gamer, you suck at Guitar Hero." How insulting!!! Give me a break! I'm a beginner. Give me time and I'll be rocking your house down Sarah!!! Haha...

She went to bed early that night. So much for a sleepover -_- You're not actually supposed to sleep during sleepovers! We're supposed to do stuff together. But she was tired from work and all... I was left up all night by myself in a strange bed, not able to sleep a wink.

Next sleepover shall be at my place! Best part is that I had work the next day. Note to self: Never do sleepovers if I have work the next day. Zombified!

A series of events occurred over the past month... I have so much things to share, that needs to be summarize and written. I haven't really find the time to do so yet. I'll get to it. I miss blogging, but just getting to it have been feeling like a chore lately.

Maybe I should just suck up to the fact that I no longer love blogging as much as I used to. Micro-blogging is the way to go! Annoy people with my endless rant on their timeline. I always keep a list of stuff to blog about in my notes. I have 8 so far!!! Any longer, every event just adds up to it.

One of the random Saturdays where a friend calls you up because she's bored and gathers everyone in the next hour. The four of us ended up at HRC somehow and that's how an unplanned Saturday turns out to be unexpectedly... Fun. I want more of unexpected fun!

I love being at HRC. I felt familiarity and the place just lives me up! I died and woke up in playlist heaven. I was in my own playlist!!! I LOVE YOU DJ!!! Hahahaha... Apparently the crazy side of me still proves to be in existence despite the sobriety.

Dee always talks about her uncle. Who knew her uncle is Haizad Imran!?! I met him in person for the first time. I don't really watch Suria, much less a tv person ever since I can access everything online. Haizad Imran sounds familiar but I had to be sure. So I googled!

He's the Suria actor who acted in 2x5 or something like that. Man... I hated that show! I remembered how annoying the actress was. But he was somehow cute. Hehe. I was starstruck, just like Asyraf was. But we had to hold back ourselves and sat still because of Dee's presence. Lol. Hilarious.

Mosaic Festival - Raul Midon

We got free tickets from our teachers for Mosaic Festival! ;)
Raul Midon is a New York-based vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. He appeared in The Late Show With David Letterman in 2006. Read more about Raul Midon here. I've never heard of him until I received the tickets. Not having heard of him doesn't make him any less famous. Not that I'm ignorant either. I did my homework with Google! As always.

Raul Midon is amazing!!! He blew us away. Inspired us in so many different ways with his music. Check him out on YouTube! Nina who sat next to me was doing her counts on my yawn. Not that he's boring.

I was just getting a little bit too comfortable! My seat was sinking my ass, the a/c was just right and his music pretty much sums up the whole deal.

I was falling asleep but I got wide awake after every loud applause. There was this annoying schoolmate of mine who was seating a row ahead of us. Apparently she thinks she's the only audience, I'm sure. Loud clapper and a woohoo, that one! Great enthusiasm, wrong show.

An overdose of jazz got me listening to AC/DC on my way home! Heh.

Flow Jam 2011

Lovely Saturday last weekend~ I was at Wavehouse to support Ili for Flow Jam, just like I did last year. This time, I was with Ili's family and Nurul. Anytime for champ!

I brought my Fisheye along too! Very happy that I finally got to use my Fisheye again on a beautiful day. Now I have a new roll of film waiting to be developed! Did I mention that I met a guy too, who shares the same interest in lomography? He collects lomo cameras!

The weather wasn't great. I was expecting sunny Sentosa but all we got was passing rain. It began to rain heavily towards the late afternoon. But of course the show must go on. I stayed till the end. Ili won first place AGAIN, and she's actually banned from taking part in the ladies division next year onwards... Haha. She'll be competing with the men next year!

We met the rest of the guys later that evening for a huge feast over at Lau Pa Sat. It was great to gather again for Amok's birthday, because it's been awhile since I last met any of the guys at all.

I know it's mid February, but I haven't got the time to blog so often anymore because I've been busy... I've been wanting to blog this for awhile already, so here goes!

2010 was probably one of the best of my 20 years!!! It was an incredibly eventful, exciting year. Met new friends, organized many events and did many things for the first time.

I love 2010. Hope I can say the same for 2011 ;)

1) Mr Faris's Surprise Birthday

Successfully organized a surprise birthday party for Mr Faris, with the help of his lovely wife Mrs Faris.
I got the whole class hiding at his place! Hehe.

2) IEF's PJ Party

I organized a themed party for the class - PJ party!
It was held during the class's stay at the Aloha chalet during our holidays.

3) New Gadgets

Mom got me a BlackBerry Bold 2 and a notebook for my 20th birthday!!!

4) Pool Party

I was informed by Ali that Frederic was hospitalized since last Wednesday... And that this is the 2nd time that he's been hospitalized. I knew I had to go visit. I really miss that kid. The last time I saw him was 2 months ago! He's Ali's nephew btw. We met during the road trip weekend last November.

I was supposed to visit him last Saturday but I couldn't make it so I arranged for a special delivery for him. Hehehe. Patiently waited to get news that they have received it... I told no one abt it other than Ali's sister. Surprise was a success! I went to work feeling really happy knowing I made his day...:D

I asked Ai along to visit Fred at NUH, but Ai was already on his way to Malaysia and won't be back until next week. Later that day, I found out that Ai was hospitalized. The last I heard of him, he was on his way to Malaysia. But en route his destination, he met with an accident and was brought back to Singapore. Guess where he ended up? NUH. Lol! The same hospital that Fred's warded in!

I had work until 7pm that day, and Deeb offered to pick me up from work and visit him to the hospital together. Heheh. So I had the chance to visit both Fred and Ai! They're only a level apart.

When Ai asked me how come Fred got balloons and he got none, I just said to him that even if I got him balloons, I'll specially request the delivery guy to poke all the balloons in his face hahahhaa

I had fun playing with the bed remote! I almost forgot how fun this thing works...:D
Ai will be discharged tomorrow but Fred won't be going home so soon. Kak Ning have been staying in the hospital with him since he was warded. Please get well soon little kid. I miss the naughty kid I know going shingZ shingZ on me! :(

Tennis

I first took up tennis on the 1st December of 2010. It's been almost 2 months now. I go for tennis on Wednesdays after school, and during the school holidays, I tried to go for tennis 3x a week. Tennis have been fun! Really fun. But not all the time, for now...

It frustrates me how I can't get it right sometimes. Practice makes perfect, I know. Easier said than done, really. It's not that easy to commit the time and money to this. I can't expect to learn everything in 2 months. Eugene have been taking up tennis since he was a kid!

I love watching people play tennis when I'm at the court. Especially young kids! They're so young yet they're crazy awesome. Makes me feel inferior towards them zzz.

Taking up tennis as a sport, somehow I tend to forget for the fact that this is an outdoor sport and with that, I can't expect good weather all the time. It's not that I hate the rain. I love the rain! But I realize that the rain have been getting in the way of what I'm doing. It makes me question God sometimes. It feels like a sign telling me that I should stop playing tennis?

Most times, I'd end up sitting with the guys by the stairs waiting for the rain to stop pouring. Sometime it stops, sometimes it doesn't at all. There was this one time, Eugene and me ended up playing cards instead of tennis because of the rain.

It frustrates me!!! I really hope that the monsoon season will be over soon. I don't plan to quit on tennis anytime soon. This is gonna be long-term. I signed up for it! I'll definitely continue with tennis even when I'm done with school. I'm finally getting my own Wilson soon! Whee!!!

Dee's Birthday

PPS Reunion

I was connected to Abbas via Facebook recently and after a few FB chats, he kept asking when we were gonna meet. I've not met him for abt 8 years!!! That's almost a decade. So I organized a reunion for the ex-pps students. Not everyone, just a bunch that matters.

It wasn't that hard to get everyone together because I've been close with Illy since forever, Wandi's just next block to mine, Etiqa works in the same mall as me, and I'm still in contact with Nazree. Lydia's on my Facebook! We're all connected in some way.

I love Nazree's tee! Bitch, please! Lol

Even Halim joined us towards the end of the night!

It was a great reunion! After hanging out at town, we left and headed back to Teban for old time's sake. Etiqa and Abbas used to live at my block! So we were hanging out at my void deck, laughing over almost everything and I taught them how to play Boggle. Hahahaa.

We got so much to share about our lives... We've been friends since we were in kindergarten, knew all our parents but due to relocation, I missed 8 years of Abbas's life!!! We grew up, we change to be a different person altogether but I know this is the kind of friendship I'll never grow out of.

This calls for a next reunion!

I organized a trekking trip to MacRitchie with Mandy, Sally and Joan. I was so excited for it, because it was my first time trekking! I was really looking forward to the HSBC treetop walk. Met the girls early in the morning for breakfast before starting our trek.

So this is what rich people do during their free time...

I'm proud to say that we completed 11km in 4 hours. Satisfaction! Trekking at MacRitchie was a great experience. It was drizzling when we started. Even though I was fully geared for the rain with ponchos and umbrella, I still fear the rain. Lucky us, great weather for trekking!

Made our way past hundreds of steps and slopes (both uphill and downhill), 4.4km walk to the HSBC Treetop where there were monkeys in the middle of the bridge - we almost froze in mid air! Coming down from the treetop walk trying to get back to civilization was even more torturous.

We event got caught up with a monkey pack. Many many monkeys!!! Surrounding us. The monkeys screamed. We screamed even louder. Monkeys then started mating after the screaming... @_@ Hilarious.

Sally and Joan were the most helpless. I had to put up a brave front so that we could pass the monkey pack, which we did. We were way too close to the monkeys! I gotta admit that the encounter with monkeys was scary and something that I never want to go through again!

As we were walking to the bus stop, Mandy got chased by a monkey who wanted her 100 plus. So now we all know that monkeys love 100 plus! True story.

ZoukOut 2010

ZoukOut wasn't all fun. It was my first, and it was the worse and probably the best too. So far. It was just Yuyul, Alfie and me at first. We were gonna queue for the tickets, we got there as early as 5pm? (I shall now say how deeply regretful I am for not getting the advanced tickets)

So we queued. And we queued. I thank God for having Yuyul and Alfie with me the whole time. I can't even begin to think about how it'd be like to ever go through a queue like this alone! We took turns to sit and queue again hahaha.

The whole time we were ranting on and on... Hahaha. I swear at that point of time I could think of anything that could happen to us. I call it the pre-ZoukOut negativity. Yuyul and me were also busy spotting our friends' doppelgangers... Hahahaha

Queue goes on... For 3 hours!!! 8:30pm, they announced that ALL tickets were completely sold out and we were not even close to the gate. Fuck this shit! Depressing moment of our lives. We've been queueing since 5pm, yet we got no tickets.

It was mad... I swear the hectic crowd was about to go berserk. Everyone was frustrated, and everyone tried to buy off others upfront... How can ZoukOut tickets ever be sold out? Really???

So we tried to pay the strangers upfront to get us tickets and we were willing to pay no more than $100. But some were willing to get us tickets only if we pay them $200. What!? That's utterly ridiculous!!! After trying almost every way we can to get ourselves in, we failed.

We sat at the corner without tickets and it just frustrates me how hyped up everybody else was about ZoukOut! I thought my 2010 was great, but just one really bad night just ruined my entire good year.

We called every friend we got to seek help to get tickets, we tried to buy off people... ZoukOut wasn't really happening for us. So we entered Azzura instead where we entered for $30. We were there having drinks and pizzas. We watched the fireworks. So close, yet so far...

I was feeling crazy fucked up, I just wanted to leave Sentosa, grab some McDees and be on my way home. But somehow Alfie and Yuyul were determined to stay. Maybe our luck will change, they said.

We met Massy and her bf outside Azzura after that and somehow we got the idea of asking strangers who were leaving for their tags. So we ended up buying tags off tourists for $20! It was a fair deal. We pay for their cab fares, they get us in. They left early because they couldn't stand the crowd. We were more than thrilled to be a part of that crowd! We waited a whole night and it wasn't for nothing.

It was 4am, we were in just in time for Afrojack, Tiesto and David Guetta!!! Couldn't get any better than this. What felt like the worse night of my life somehow turned out to be the best night of my life!!!

Was I lucky or what!?!?!!! You tell me ;)
Lessor learned: Do not contemplate!!! Contemplation will result in regrets and desperate measures. Buy advanced tickets no matter what!

There's always something new to learn. Being a photo junkie that I already am, it's really hard to tell whether being exposed to the world of lomography is a good thing.

My monthly expenditure will go boOm! I've been spending my $ on this and will definitely be spending even more $ in the near future. This means cutting down on my shopping for clothes...:( Now my monthly pay goes out to paying my phone bill, tennis and lomo stuff.

But it's great!!! I can now have my own collection of "toy" cameras that I can play with. Hehehe. I've already sent in my first roll of film and now patiently waiting for it to develop. I hate for the fact that I have to wait 3 days for it to be ready, and I can't even tell if my pictures would turn out well. But that's the whole beauty of it! I can't see it yet. The anticipation drives me nuts!

I brought my colleagues to Players! Finally an outing with my colleagues again after months. Haha this wasn't really well planned out but we all had fun eventually. It's been months since I last went to that bar. We used to go to Players almost every other week back then. By "we", I mean with my homeboys and homegirls... It's our pre-party spot before we hit ChinaOne.

Apparently, Players is also where I lost my iTouch... How unfortunate that the one place where I have such good memories with my closest friends, there are the bad as well.

But hey! Among the girls I won first place... Still the champ!

But no one was home... So I had to arrange for a redelivery. I thought I had to wait another week or something. So I called them this morning, and they had it delivered on the same evening! Mad efficient!

Tennis... is a beautiful sport.

My tennis coach, Eugene, hates it when I keep comparing it to badminton!
Hahhaha so I can't even mention badminton when I'm in a tennis court.

So I've been referring to it as the "B" word!

I've been intending to play tennis for a few weeks now... We've been classmates for almost 2 years now, and I had no idea that Eugene is a tennis coach. I only found out about it recently after knowing that he's coaching a few of my other classmates as well.

So I spoke to him about it. At first he thought I was kidding. How come when I tell my friends I wanna do something, they never take me for real? I know I'm playful most of the time, but that doesn't mean I can't be serious when I want to right?

The class had Sports & Wellness today. As usual we had our game on! This is why I always look forward to S&W. The class usually plays Captain's Ball and Floorball. Last week, we played Ultimate Frisbee.

We have fun all the timeeeee! My classmates are such a great sport. We competed for a round of Captain's Ball and my team won as usual. Hehehe... After winning, 10 from our class were selected to compete with the other class... Year 1 students. We won that too with a final score of 10-6. Yeah!!!

After S&W have ended, I stayed with Eugene and Ryan while the other girls left for home. Last week, I told Eugene that I'm interested in tennis, but no confirmation was given. The boys were gonna play so I just thought it'd be great if I were to join them for today's session. We hang out at J8 while waiting for Eugene's dad and we went to his dad's club.

At first I thought it would be weird/awkward to be sharing the court with Eugene's dad and his 3 other friends/colleagues. But it turned out to be totally fine :D

Aw... Bromance? Hahaa

It was the first time that I could actually have a "boys talk" with Eugene and Ryan. We talked about almost everything... Down to the real personal stuff I never thought the boys would share with me. I did tell them to treat me like a dude... Lol

I've never played tennis before in my entire life. Badminton, definitely. But not tennis... I got the hang of it after an hour or so. So many tennis words/techniques to digest! I had no idea there were so many things to learn about tennis. But of course I look forward to learn.

Eugene said that I did really good on my first session and that I'm a fast learner. He said I'm better than the others for their first session :x Ryan agreed with that and he said that I'm a fantastic beginner. It's great to finally hear that I'm good at something you know!?! Ryan gave me a 95% but Eugene gave me a 98%! Lol! Sweet!

Tennis was fun!!! I had fun. Maybe that's because my personal coach is my friend whom I can laugh, joke and tease almost half the entire time. I can't even bring the thought of having a stranger as my personal coach. The pressure!!! But with Eugene it's totally casual. I'm totally comfortable around him. He said I talked too much, but then again, why the hell did he laugh so much!? I'm a fun student ok.

Me: "Can you stay further a bit? I don't want to hit your balls!"
E: "Ok hit this ball, not these balls."

"Hey Eugene! You dropped a ball! You still have 1 left though."

Hahhaaha yes the never-ending balls joke!

It's still too early to tell if I want to stay in this sport, but I've decided to make tennis my weekly activity. Tennis every Wednesday. I'm thinking of having another 4-5 tennis lessons more with Eugene before I get my own tennis racket. This also means I have to cut down on shopping :(

I'm sorry but I've never actually heard of her until today :S
But I am aware how famous she was back in the days!

It was a black-tie event, so we were told to dress formally in black dresses and in heels. It was so nice to see my classmates all dressed up looking so pretty. It really felt as if we were going to the prom! Speaking of which, we're still in the midst of organizing our prom night event! ;)

JB said that all of us looked as if we were going for an atas black society funeral. LOL

The whole time my vision was lured to the stream of gorgeous ladies who wore fab dresses and crazy high heels. Envy! Makes me wonder if I'll ever get there one day.

I'm still sad that I won't be able to get my iTouch 4 until next year... The plan was that I get my iPod when December's pay is in :( But work sucks! They've been cutting on everyone's hours drastically that I have been earning so little I can't even afford my iPod!

I can still afford the 8GB but I know better than anyone else that I would use up 8GB within a week. What I need is 32GB. Maybe I should just go ask Santa...:(

The long awaited road trip with Ai and Ali. Real psyched for the trip, but not for the 8 hour bus ride. I've never been on any ride that long before so I had my worries. The thoughts were endless!!! "How am I gonna pee?" "Will I ever get to sleep?" I wish my mind would just shut up... :I

I decided to go to school on that Thursday because I want to be exhausted so that I could sleep in the bus. School ended late, and I reached home only when it was close to 7pm. I was in one hell of a rush knowing that I'm not even done packing! Came home only to realize that I left my keys in my room x_x

What! Yes! I left my keys in my room. But I never forget my keys! Of all the 365 days in a year, on that day, I had to forget my keys. My bedroom door was locked (Yes it's always locked when I'm out, I have trust issues with my sister) and I was locked out of my own room!!!

My parents were still out to work, my sisters were out, and I was home alone. Lucky me, mom had spare keys, so I called mom to cab home from work and I had to wait :( It was already 7:45pm by then and I had to meet Ali at 8 which means I was late!!!

Bus leaves at 9:30pm. I could do nothing, so I sat outside the door feeling all sad and angry at myself for letting this happen to me... :( As soon as mom got home from work, I had like 10 min to dump my stuffs in my bag and called for a cab. Hectic night, but I got on time eventually.

Finally we were on the bus. My new passport got its first virgin stamp out of Singapore after 2 years. Hehehehehe. And guess what I forgot to bring!?!!!! I knew this would happen!!! I knew I have forgotten something but would only realize it later... My earphones! :(

It's crazy to go on a bus trip for 8 hours. It's crazier to go on a bus trip for 8 hours without music!!! That's something I don't ever wanna go through ever again. I was seated next to Ai and we did the usual rounds of jokes, laughter and punches before he finally fell asleep! I could barely sleep wtf.

So the whole time I was staring out the window and it was pitch dark. Malaysian highways are so scary... :( Ali was seated behind us and he didn't even sleep too. He was seated upright the whole time. We got to our destination safely at 5am.

Ai had bird poop on him as soon as he got out of the bus! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! I couldn't stop laughing my ass off!!! I like the way the birds in Ipoh greet us :D

We cabbed to our hotel, Hotel Impiana.

We decided to walk back to the hotel. It turned out to be a long walk and I was all sweaty and cranky after having a sleepless night in the bus and the only thing I had in mind was to jump in a shower and sleep in my hotel room. Argghhhh.....

Finally!!! Back at the hotel...

It was only 8am and we had hours to waste until we could check in our rooms. So we got tickets and decided to make our way to the Lost World of Tambun, the water theme park. We left our bags at the concierge and changed at the lobby's restroom. All of us were exhausted!!!

Not many pictures taken at the theme park because the camera would get wet :( But we had so much fun!!! At least this kept us awake. Crazy water slides, jacuzzi at the top of the world with a magnificent view with my best friends... We were having a great time!!!

We went to the petting zoo too! We watched a tiger show where they actually released a baby tiger cub and let it run freely among us!!! Crazy cute! We even got to feed swans after that! Hahahaa I still wish I have pictures to show :(

Needless to say, we were famished!!! So we walked across the street and found this warong where we had dinner. We got rip-off :( After the unsatisfying expensive rip-off dinner, we waited for cab to get back to the hotel. It was crazy hard to get a cab! It began raining... All of us were out in the open road waiting for a cab :( Need I remind you that we haven't even gotten sufficient sleep? :(

Still no cab, we walked to this police station to get help. The officer called a cab for us, yet we had to wait for hours!!! :'( We gave up and decided to walk ahead to wait for a cab. Found Giant, went to shop for food. No cab at the mall either. Where have all the cabs in Ipoh gone to!?!!!!

It was already 8pm, everyone was cranky and sleepy and angry. Bad day :( We called the hotel concierge to get us cabs and even they couldn't extend help to us!!! We almost resorted to seek help from the residents to give us a ride back to the hotel.

We had to part ways, Ali went to the highway in the rainy weather and eventually got us a cab. And finally came another cab. So we were FINALLY back at the hotel after the hectic day. I shared my room with Ali's sister, Siti. The boys had their own room, and the other room was for Kak Ning, Lan and the kids. All in the same hallway! Yay!

We reached only when it was 9pm but I was happy! So happy!!!
I jumped around endlessly because I was so happy!

Ok so here's the story... Finally it was shower time!!! I was the happiest girl in the world. I've never been this happy to get a shower. I let Siti (Ali's sister) have her shower first, because I was planning to have a crazy long shower in the bathtub for at least 2 hours. Haha.

So as I was preparing my bubble bath, I somehow broke the tap!? Or the tap was just useless in the first place. Unlucky me, broken tap was hot water and my tub was flooding!!! PANIC! PANIC! PANIC! I was alone in my hotel room at that time. Siti went to the other room. I was naked, had to put on some clothes, dashed across the hallway to get to the other room to seek for Siti's help!

I couldn't open the drain because my tub was filled with hot water :( Siti and me tried scooping water out of the tub and dump it in the toilet bowl :( We ended up using the bin. Hahahahahahhahahaha... Siti called for the hotel maintenance, he came, he left, and he came back to fix the tap. Finally!!!

I felt horrible because I had to trouble Siti... I would have probably flooded our hotel room if it wasn't for her help :( We laughed our ass off throughout the whole scooping part. It was so funny!!! I began to feel like I'm a jinx. Bad things kept happening to me that weekend!!!

Grand Tour for 3.5 hours

Caving was such an amazing experience!!! It was crazy dangerous... A slip and you can end up dead! I've never done anything this crazy before. We climbed steep, uneven, slippery stairs up the cave! I did real rock climbing!!! I've never even done artificial rock climbing! Lol!

We had to walk and crawl in the water. We were muddy, wet and sweaty all at once. And I was so scared I would encounter leeches but thank god none got me! Having gone through something like that, I feel like I can overcome anything!!! I had scars on my knees but it was worth it!!!

I've never been so proud of scratches because it was something to prove! It was such an achievement and I am so proud of us!!! And the kids! They're only 5 and 8 yet they've done something this crazy. When I was that age, probably the craziest thing I did was race riding on a bicycle with my cousin and hit a lamppost, and I got a scar on my forehead. Lol.

I am so in love with Ali's nephews!!! Favian and Frederick! They're such adorable, naughty boys! Now that I'm blogging about them, I really miss them going *shiNgz* on me :(

Hehehe Frederick is so cute!!! He likes to make different kinds of expressions and he makes me laugh all the time!!! I miss him already :(

We headed back to the hotel after caving to catch up on our sleep and hang out in the hotel room. In the evening, we had intentions to go to the night market but it was raining so we couldn't. So we headed out for dinner that night at this really nice restaurant where we got our money's worth :)

Back at the hotel, I had my own slumber party with the boys during the 2 nights!!! We paid the concierge to drive us to 7 eleven in the middle of the night just to get drinks. We played cards, watched football, movies, had pillow fights and yes, boxing! Hahahaa.

Sometimes I think that the boys keep forgetting that I am a girl. Bahahahaa but I can definitely throw some good punches... Ai knows that! I punch him all the time. In fact, he was my punching bag!!! I remembered Ali saying that it'd be funny to see us all get married one day, knowing how childish we can be. Haha... I never want to grow up!

Ash have been suggesting that we all go for paintball together one day. That "one day" took months... But it happened! I organized it for everyone and the 10 of us decided to go for it. It was expensive!!! We had to pay $50 (exclusive GST) per pax for a session of less than 2 hours.

We were given 3 rounds to play in the field. We were divided into 2 teams so we decided to have the game against the boys. We were given face mask and vests that we must wear at all times. During the first round, I got shot in the face. They said that once you get shot in the mouth, just swallow it. So I did! Bitter as fuck! Hahaa yes! Who would have known that paintball is edible!?!!

I got hit pretty bad during the 2nd round and it hurts so bad I can't help but AAAHH!! continuously. We went home with bruises on our arms and legs but it was worth it. I hate getting shot but it was so fun!

I have intentions to go on a hideout and never surface during the month of October next year!!! I gotta plan this in advance, that's pretty definite. Haha... Both Ai and Deeb's birthdays happens to fall in the month of October, and both of them had secret surprises for one another!

How sweet right!!! I know! But that also means that October is a busy month for me! I already foresee that. Lol. It wasn't easy keeping not 1 secret, but 2 secrets all at the same time!!! I hate keeping secrets, what more having to lie. Every passing day, I worry that I'd accidentally blurt the secret out because I speak to them both very often.. Hehe

The whole time I was at the backseat trying SO HARD not to laugh!!! All the more I wanted to laugh. Now I know how horrible it is to refrain from laughing out loud. It was so funny I couldn't help but giggle with my hand covering my mouth almost the entire time! The only way I could communicate with Ai was via WhatsApp! Please don't let me go through that ever again!!!

It was a crazy night!!! I was with my girls at WaveHouse for the IFC, and I left WaveHouse only when it was almost 10pm. I had to rush to Vivo to pick up the cake I ordered, jumped in a cab and make my way down to Jurong West where everyone was waiting for me :(

It was definitely a night to remember for Ili Lim and all of us! Yep! International Flowboarding Championship (IFC) happened over the weekend. Ili won the title for the overall champion in the Expert Ladies category, winning both categories of FlowRider and FlowBarrel Strapless.

Great night out with the girls even though it was just for a couple of hours... But at least it was long enough for us all to catch up on whatever we've missed out during the past year. I really miss working with them, and we already have plans to travel somewhere together next year! Stoked!

First Ride!

I finally gathered enough courage to try out Flowriding! Illy's been dying for me to try it out. I've been telling Illy that Flowriding was in one of my "To-do-list before I die". Hahahaa, I finally gave in and decided to give it a go.

I was so nervous. Saddam turned out to be my instructor for the night -___-" Why Saddam gotta be the one who gotta watch me fall!? He was my first boyfriend when I was 11! I just don't like the idea of falling. I have this terrible fear of getting hurt. I had to give my all... Falling my ass off in front of the crowd watching me!!! But that's the whole point of learning... Falling is a part of learning!

The guys advised me to have my feel in the water, so I took turns switching from flowboarding to bodyboarding. I had more fun bodyboarding! No photos of me on the flowboard because Illy chose to disappear with the camera -___-"

After trying out Flowboarding, I realized that it's definitely not an easy sport. Illy worked hard to be good at it and I have so much respect for her to get to where she is today.

The aftermath was horrible!!! My body felt sore all over and it went on for days, affecting my performance at work. I am such an old lady.

Sakae Sushi

My constant cravings for sushi is annoying!!! I have been dining in at Sakae at least once a month ever since my first. This time, I had a sushi date with Shoe! We went for Sakae at Orchard Central but it wasn't even open yet! So we had to wait over an hour :(

While waiting, we watched people do rock climbing
(That was before we got chased away by the security hahahaa)

Finally we were seated by 7pm and I was so hungry :'(

It was Shoe's first try at Sakae so I had the pleasure of teaching her everything :D

Damn! Looking at these photos makes me crave for them again :(

It was a fulfilling dinner and we went home feeling belly happy :D

After which, we parted ways. Deeb left for home while Ai, Ali and me went to have supper at where else but McDees... We even planned for a road trip weekend with Ali and family. Really psyched for it because that would be my first getaway with the boys! :D

Insomnia

It's almost 5pm, my dad's getting home from work soon but I haven't slept a wink since I woke up yesterday. Talk about crazy, but anything is possible with time. I'm about to see myself to sleep and dream of my very own Chuck Bass. One can only dream...

Does a non-fictional character like Chuck Bass even live in existence out there, somewhere? Someone so fucked up, so damaged yet, will always be loved by his one and only B. Blame it on the scriptwriters for being ever so brilliant. Their work have made a huge impact on my life.

Sure I admit I can't exactly relate any of the scenes to my personal life, but that's the kind of drama my life's missing out on. Not that I ever want such occurrence, just happy to watch. Although I'd admit that my life have been in a pretty stagnant state right now. As it always is. Nothing new with me, nothing is ever new.

I remember this throbbing head, very clearly. I always get this when I stay up for over 24 hours. Always fucking up with my body clock, this time I've done damage for real.

I just had too much time on my hands, I had to spend my hours catching up on all of my fav tv series I've been missing out while I was busy. I couldn't appreciate the time given more than ever. I don't remember having this much time on my hands. My only time for me.

I just spent the last 24 hours binging on episodes of Gossip Girl, something which I've been putting off for months, fell out of season 3. For a moment there, I forgot how obsessed I was with that series. Months off it sure resulted in withdrawals. Blame it on the bad buffer I had to put up with last year... Fuck SingNet. It almost made me forget my love for Chuck Bass.

Now, I need some sleep. It's good to be back, to write. I miss typing out my thoughts, in more than 140 characters that is - that's the Twitter limit.

This is my first ever raya barbecue that I've ever attended actually, haha. There's always a first for everything right! It was an unforgettable night. This happened a week ago but the memory of the night is still fresh in my mind. I had so much fun with people I just met. I've never even met Fana until that night.

She's Ali's best friend and she wants to meet me so she invited me over. Heh heh how sweet of her! Of course the invitation couldn't be denied. Even though I was busy the whole day, I am glad I was there to be with strangers whom I can now call as friends of my own :)

At the end of the night, everyone went home with a new skill.
Hehehehe...

This chinese girl is Sui. She's freaking awesome!!! Apparently, she and Syuk were at the beach party too for Lil Jon. Thank you Lil Jon for bringing us together. That's something to talk about the entire night! :p And she knows Illy and Ein!

Ali kept telling me to not go to work. Hahahaa of course I wouldn't bail on my colleagues! Fun is fun, work is fun too! Lol. As much as I wanted to stay, I had to leave at 10pm because I had to rush home for a shower before heading out again to work night shift :( Thanks to Fana for the invite, the turn out was great!

Me with my best friend Illy and my childhood boyfriend when I was 11. Lol.
His name is Saddam and he's cousins with Illy. All of us practically know each other almost our entire lives. We all live in the same neighbourhood but the only times that we meet is only when I come to WaveHouse for Illy's competitions or other events because he works there too.

The day that I have long anticipated have finally arrived. Lil Jon at Better Dayze Beach Party! I know I deserve this for having gone through the crazy datelines for projects, exams, fasting for a whole month and all the crazy preps I did for raya.

I swear it was one of the best parties I've ever attended. It was good wild fun! Sure had great fun while it lasted although I admit, it was a pretty bad time to get drunk because I have errands to run in the morning and working night shift the following day -__- What a buzzkill.

Raya outing with the classmates was a success! This year's time management was definitely better than last year's. I still remember we were rushing from place to place and ended the day very late. This year we have Ranjini, Sally, Roopz, Sheng Ling, Pris and Yuqin who joined us as well :) How unfortunate we couldn't raya at Mr Faris's place this year :(

It's always fun to be with my awesome classmates. I could never go through school daily without them. I just can't believe we're graduating so soon :(
